Sat. Oct. ?

Yesterday was a walking-through-the-city day. We started at the Tower of London, walked through a part of the city that is in a total rebuilding state and ended up at the memorial that was created after the huge city fire of many years ago. Then we continued walking to St. Paul's cathedral where they wanted 15£ just to walk in. Not gonna happen where a catholic pays money to walk into a church so we checked it out up until the payment desk and called it a "bin there, dun that."
From there we jumped the tube to the Marble Arch by Bond Street and had some spinach soup to help with G's cold. He's in bed for the day today so we're not quite sure if spinach soup is as good as chicken soup for "what ails ya"- better to stick with chicken. ;)
Bond St. and Oxford Circus areas are the total shopping areas of London. Don't go unless you're willing and ready to rub elbows, but it sure is lively. We walked and enjoyed the sights and walked all the way to Picadilly. From there we tubed back to our own neighbourhood where we walked around a bit. I made an appointment for a hair trim and manicure for today since G is resting and since it's been a long time for either of those two things for me.
A little tv time and we called it a day well done.
